As a young boy, Oliver followed in his brother's footsteps as a chorister, performing choral works together in most of the UK's most prestigious concert halls and abroad. He was accepted into the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and the English Concert Singers and alongside his vocal tuition he studied the piano, trumpet and guitar. However, over time it became clear that Oliver's true passion lay in composition with him feeling equally at home in orchestral writing as well as song writing. His progression continued which resulted in him studying at the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity College of Music. Through this he has studied composition with Stephen Montague, Errollyn Wallen , John Thomas and Dick Walter.
A life-long passion has always been in writing for film and television, with Oliver having written music for numerous adverts, short films and DVD's. Therefore when asked by his brother to help find ‘their sound', these Hollywood influences ran wild in the making of the album. It wasn't long before inspiration kept on striking and from it came the writing of three new songs, ‘All That I Need', ‘Open Road', and ‘Credere' which are all now part of ‘Believe'. In addition to writing, Oliver was also the arranger and producer of the album,with the music being recorded at his studio 'Brickroom Studios'. Recording ‘Believe' capped a busy year for Oliver with him producing three albums, as well as continuing his orchestral writing. Whilst on tour with Thomas, Oliver plays the Synths and Guitar.
When brothers work together there is a certain honesty which can only come from a close relationship. There is no doubt that this constant interaction has helped to create the partnership that it is today.
"Looking back it seems that we were destined to work together. What's great about music is that there are no boundaries, it gives a freedom to do anything....apart from singing, I'll leave that to Thomas! "
